Snow Days--1/27-1/28

Elena is quite content being in the swing--away from the snow! She was extra warm with her layers of clothing--Vince has a snowsuit and some boots--Santa was thinking ahead!

Elena prefers to swing instead of sled!!!!

A view of our backyard and the snow-covered pond or what Vincent calls, "our lake".

Vincent and his best bud, Gabriel! Our sled on the left works the best for getting lots of speed!

Michelle and Gabriel getting ready to go down our hill--they had a good time! We're pretty lucky we don't have to go far--Elena would not have been able to enjoy it very much if we had to go far! She is really weird about it--loves the look of it, but doesn't want to be in it!

We had 2 days of lots of snow--sooooo much fun---Elena is scared to put her feet in it, and Vincent is afraid to go sledding down our big hill! I could not get anyone to take a pic of me going down the hill, but it was great fun! This was a really good time--the other pics of of the kids coloring Power Rangers...Elena likes to wear her art! Good times! It's going to be hard to go back tomorrow--ha ha ha...I am pretty lucky just having these 2 snow days! The perks of being a teacher! I will be complaining in June though!

Just a Few Pics of the Kids

We tried out that Pizza Palace Place where they have games and a pizza buffet--Elena was trying to take over Vincent's Skee Ball game.....she's bossy and determined!

On the weekends, the kids enjoy hanging out in our bed to watch either "Olive the Other Reindeer" or "King of the Hill"...we just got a HD TV, so they love it twice as much...funny!

Ok, here is the story behind this. I was getting wrapped up in my Facebook on the laptop and Chris asked, "What is Leni doing?" I replied, "I don't mind that she is down there (on the floor--I thought she was just messing with some papers from some drawers..)--she's being occupied and she's happy. I will clean up the mess (again, I thought she was in some junk mail)". Well, no--she found some Lindt's (sp?) Chocolates and she was figuring out how to open the wrappers--spending a lot of time figuring it out. Well, you can see how successful she was! "Mmmmm--chocolate!" Both kids are chocoholics--I guess like me!
I will post more later!!!
